On September 29th 2017, the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore (IBF) Distinguished Fellow Award Ceremony was held at the Stamford Ballroom, Raffles City Convention Centre, Singapore. Richard Lim, the CEO of China Reinsurance (Group) Corporation Singapore Branch was conferred the IBF Distinguished Fellow Award in General Insurance, and became the fifth person from the Insurance industry (and the first from the reinsurance industry) in history to be conferred this award.
The IBF Distinguished Fellow award is the epitome of industry recognition of Award winner’s professional competence and commitment to excellence and industry development. In the ceremony, Mr Lim Swee Say, Minister for Manpower in Singapore had presented the award and the IBF published a special supplement in The Business Times on 2 October 2017 that featured the Award winners.
China Reinsurance (Group) Corporation Singapore Branch was established on July 25th 2016, who helped China Re gain a foothold and grow businesses in Asia. China Reinsurance (Group) Corporation Singapore Branch is now actively involved in the One Belt One Road Initiative, serves and supports Chinese companies to “go global” and achieve internationalization.
